Family Discipleship

October 29th - November 4th

The Biggest Story

Family Discipleship can be a hard habit to get started. Please use this week as an opportunity to get your family back on track with the family devotion plan if you have fallen behind. If you are all caught up, check out the questions below.
Memory Verses:
Week 1-In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)
Week 2-I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)
Week 3-Just as sin came into the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
Week 4-Rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. (Genesis 7:12)

Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.

Question One: What is your favorite thing that God created?

Question Two: What has stood out to you the most of the four lessons we've done in Genesis so far?

Question Three: How are you doing on memorizing your memory verses each week? What can we, as a family, do to help you memorize them each week?

Question Four: Why do you think God made us in His image?

Question Five: How have you been doing these last few weeks being an image bearer of God in your daily life at school, work, and even at home?

Question Six: This Week Devin talked all about worship. What do you think it means to worship?

Question Seven: How can you recognize God at work in your life this week? Will you share that with us?

We asked Wally what’s his favorite thing about genesis so far and he said “even the baby raccoons got on the ark”
