Family Discipleship November Week 2

This weeks memory verse is: 
Repent and believe in the gospel.
 (Mark 1:15)

Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.

Question One: Do you remember some of the prophets we have talked about so far? Do you remember anything funny about them? The clothes they wore? Did they do or say anything you remember? What about Malachi?

Question Two: How did John the Baptist's clothes show he was that special prophet that Malachi was talking about?

Question Three: What was the message that John preached? What did John tell people to do to show they had repented?

Question Four: Did a lot of people come to hear John? Did that make John think he was important? Who did he want people to see was important?
 
Question Five: Why did John baptize people? What die he say when Jesus came to be baptized? Why did Jesus say he must be baptized? What did God say and do to show he was pleased?
