Family Discipleship November Week 1

November 5th - 11th

A Table and a Tower

Watch the Youtube video of this week's lesson.
This weeks big truth is:
People wanted to be great, but only God is great.
This weeks memory verse is:
Its name was called Babel, because there their Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Love dispersed them over the face of all the earth. (Gen 11:9)

Here are a few questions for your family to discuss this week based on the teaching your kids received in class on Sunday. Space these questions out throughout the week and find natural times to bring them up. Use these questions to spark conversation over dinner or on a car ride.

Question One: What is the biggest tower you've ever built? What is the tallest building you've ever seen?

Question Two: What do you think the people wanted to build the tower?

Question Three: What are some ways that we can be like the people who built the tower and try to put ourselves first?

Question Four: What are some ways that we can show how great God is?

Question Five: After God scattered the people and confused their language, what good plan did he have for these nations? Does he have a good plan for us too?

We’re trying to do the memory verse and every time we get to all the earth Wally keeps adding “but not mars” 🤦‍♀️
